Sept. 11 Panel - "We Were Unprepared"
The National Commission on Terrorist Attacks issued a report Thursday indicating that the agencies placed in charge of defending U.S. airspace were "unprepared in every respect" to protect us from the tragic events of September 11, 2001. There are reports of confusion, indecisiveness, and mis-communication. For example, Vice President Dick Cheney issued an order to shoot down the hijacked jets, but it was too late. The good news is that they also reported that our air defense today is now prepared to handle attacks such as this with swift and effective actions. Given the fact that there had never been an attack like this before, do you think that there may be a little "Monday Morning Quarterbacking" going on here? Or should we be ready for anything at anytime? Everyone has an opinion, and we want to hear yours................
